European Network for the Research on the Economic Impact of ICT

<p>The main objective of this project is to strengthen cooperation and coordination of economic research in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Europe. The project is based on the idea of bringing together the main research groups in the field into a single network that will enhance the understanding of the economic impacts of ICT and improve the quality of policies derived from research in this area. 

In order to achieve its main objectives, the following activities are envisaged: establishment of a network of more than 30 research institutions with significant research experience in the field of economics and ICT; creation of a coordination group composed of four leading institutions; organisation of a series of eight thematic seminars; preparation of four issue papers and four evaluation papers; development of an interactive website; and preparation of a final project report. 

The total duration of the project is two years. The project was implemented with the support of the European Commission’s Seventh Framework Programme. Club "Economy 2000" is the Bulgarian partner in the project.</p>
