Since 1995, Club “Economika 2000” has been pursuing energetic action in the field of environmental management and protection. The Club has participated in the development of various projects and activities, such as elaboration of strategies and projects for the integration of the country with the European Union, management and financing of municipal waste treatment, and elaboration of legal documents for whole sectors (water, waste, etc.)
Social Policy
A great part of the research activity of Club “Economika 2000” is directed to the field of social policy. The Club is a leading organization in the sphere of the social protection system, including the two social safety nets - social insurance and social assistance.
Regional Development
Projects developed in this field are related to the new legislation for regional reform and policies. Club “Economika 2000” has drawn up and submitted several methodologies to the Bulgarian authorities which help to determine the spatial and socio-economic differences across regions in Bulgaria, exhibiting diverse patterns of development.
