Real economy
A central topic of the policy-oriented research and advisory work of Club “Economika 2000” is the real economy - the interaction between the government and the markets, corporate and industrial restructuring in Bulgaria and other east European countries. The major topics are the functioning of market institutions and processes, the obstacles to establishing corporate management, the behavior of enterprises in the transition period, and the role of inward investment. With regard to privatization, conventional as well as mass privatization methods are being analyzed and popularized, thus helping to expedite the privatization process. The social effects of privatization and enterprise restructuring also receive due attention in this work.
