Detailed Information about Academic Forum 'Economy'



Academic Forum "Economy" is the successor of the International School for Young Economists, carried out in ten editions in the period 1977-1995. Until 1990, the School was organized by the Club of Young Economist at the Institute of Economics of BAS, and thereafter – by its successor Club "Economika 2000". The School for Young Economists has become a leading forum for promoting unconventional thinking and launching innovative ideas in public. Participants in the School were prominent scientists and leaders of economic thought initially from the former socialist countries, and later from countries with developed market economy. It catalysed the development of specialists from science and research, the state government and business.

Proceedings of the Academic Forum “Economy” 2015

All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings from the Forum and published in one of the working languages (Bulgarian or English). Participants wishing to present a paper are expected to send an abstract along with the registration form. The abstract shall contain the title of the paper, the author's name, keywords, and a brief presentation of the contents in no more than 300 words. Papers must be submitted in MS Word according to the technical requirements.

Important dates:

  • Submission of Registration Form and Paper Abstract: till 31st July 2015
  • Notification of acceptance of registration forms: till 1st September 2015 
  • Registration fee payment deadline: till 7th September 2015
  • Submission of papers: till 25th September 2015
  • Dissemination of the Forum Programme: till 28th September 2015

Participation Fees:

  • EUR 120 – single-room accommodation 
  • EUR 100 – double-room accommodation.

The Participation Fees include: participation in all sessions of the Forum; a hard copy of the proceedings of the Forum; 2 nights (30 September and 1 October 2015); welcome reception; 4 coffee breaks; Ultra All Inclusive, including 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, access to pastry-shops, bars, disco club, swimming pools and other facilities and services at the territory of the hotels.
