KOOP AT-BG Seminar, May 19-20, Vienna
On May 19-20, 2009 a seminar, conducted within the framework of project KOOP AT-BG, took place in the city of Vienna. It wad dedicated to the impact of the economic crisis over the labour markets of Austria and Bulgaria.
The seminar featured a presentation of the general consequences from the economic crisis for the new EU member-countries from Eastern and Central Europe. An analysis of the different anti-crisis measures that Bulgaria and Austria have implemented with regard to the labour market policy was also presented. A series of examples of good practices were discussed as well as specific measures relating to specific target groups in a disadvantaged position (for example, minorities and citizen, which are subject to long-term unemployment) followed by heated discussions of those topics.
