NoBoMa project is financed by the Leonardo da Vinci programme of the EU. The project's implementation term is 10/2012 - 11/2013; it is initiated and coordinated by the Institute for Social Science Documentation and Methodology (WISDOM).

The main goal of the NoBoMa project is to enhance transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications in the occupational field „elderly care“ in the area Austria, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia by developing Competence Matrices and a practice oriented self-assessment tool that helps elderly caregivers to assess their own competences.

The main outputs of the activities, carried out by the team of Club 'Economika 2000' within the framework of the project are as follows:

  • Conducted an analysis of the existing descriptions of the professional qualifications of the social professions, relating to the provision of elderly care services;
  • Conducted 15 interviews with experts, professionals and students in the field of social work;
  • Developed a matrix of the competences of the professions, realting to the provision of elderly care services;
  • Developed and tested a tool for self-evaluation of professional competences;
  • Conducted an analysis of the results from the conducted interviews.

The project partners of Club 'Economika 2000' are WISDOM, 3s research laboratory, VINZENTINUM, Caritas Pecs, OBSERVATORY for LLL Development (ODIP) and the Public Opinion and Mass Communication Research Centre (CJMMK) at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana.
